ABOUT THE AUTHOR
GEORGE W. WILLIAMS, SR.
I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, in a Christian home. My dad was the Late Deacon George D. Williams, Sr., and my mother was the Late Sister Emma Williams. Both received Christ before I was born. I received Christ in my life in 1969 as a child. I have been blessed to have walked with the Lord all my life. I was married (1974) to my childhood sweetheart, Lady Sarion J. Williams. We had 4 children (2 girls and 2 boys), but we lost our oldest son when he was 20-years old due to a drive-by shooting. We have 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren that are all doing well.
I served at my home church, Christ Temple Indianapolis, IN, until relocating to help build a church with Pastor John Rolle in Brazil, IN, in 1976. I have been in church ministry since 1977. In 1980, we relocated to Indy, under Pastor E.Z. Sanders, Sr., and was ordained in 1986 in the Churches of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. I received my first ministry degree from Aenon Bible College in 1985. In 1988, we began pastoral ministry at Full Gospel Worship Center in Indianapolis, IN under the blessings of District Elder Alonzo Moyer.
In 2015, we connected with the World Fellowship of Independent Ministries with Bishop J. Lavern Tyson as the overseer. In 2017, I was elevated to the office of a Bishop in WFIM. In 2018, I received my second ministry degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. In 2020, the leadership of WFIM was turned over to me and I became the Overseer of WFIM. April 17, 2023, marks 35 years in pastoral ministry at what is now called Absolute Worship Ministries. All praise to God for using us to be a blessing to help empower men and women of God in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Soon, I will be in the pastoral ministry for 35 years. God has allowed me during my pastoral ministry to ordain ten gifted ministers of the Gospel. He has used me in the gift of healing many times. God has granted me the opportunity to preach the gospel in many places across the U.S.
I have had the opportunity to travel to several foreign countries (Haiti, Jamaica). I visited these places to do missionary work by helping to build and repair homes and an orphanage. I have plans to visit Africa and other countries in the near future. I am also looking forward to using all that God has given me to be one of His best spiritual eagles.
